Demeter Labelling Manual

We offer two official versions of the Labelling Manual. Please note that in case of unclarity the English version is the deciding one. In some member countries there may be additional requirements, please contact your local organisation for more details.

Please note: according to international agreements all Demeter products must be approved by the respective certifying Demeter organisation before they can be marketed. This approval is given with regard to the conformity of production, processing and labelling, and the use of the labelling standard. We have designed this manual in such a way that if the recommendations are followed, the product can be used in accordance with the Standard. However, there may be other regulations, especially for specific products such as alcoholic beverages or cosmetic products, which are not sufficiently dealt with here. Before finalising product packaging, please ensure in any case that approval has been obtained from the relevant certifier.

Demeter Trademark Logo

Please note: there are eps files for print production available. Please use the coated version for regular paper, and the uncoated version for natural paper. For screen please take the png or svg files. Do not alter the logo in any way (colours, proportion, elements) and respect the guidelines in the manual.

Demeter Flower Logo

Please note: the use of the Flower logo is regulated nationally. Please contact your national certifying organisation and find out if the Flower logo is allowed and appropriate.

Please be aware that the usage of the trademarks on products or general product documentation is only possible in combination with a valid trademark contract. Misuse will be reported as trademark infringement.
