The IBDA is the global association that brings together as many national biodynamic associations as possible.
The IBDA has the legal form of an association in Switzerland.
It represents the biodynamic impulse in the service of the biodynamic and Demeter movement, working in close cooperation with the Section for Agriculture at the Goetheanum on the one hand and with the Biodynamic Federation Demeter International on the other.
The IBDA holds the property rights to the Demeter and biodynamic trademarks. This ensures that the trademarks can be used by all the licensees while remaining unified in one hand. The administration of the trademarks is entrusted to the Biodynamic Federation Demeter International through a trust agreement.
Further tasks of the IBDA include all activities that can help to strengthen the biodynamic impulse on an international level by supporting the development of its members through organizing events and through building alliances and partnerships. For example, the IBDA is a member of the ELIANT alliance.
